Opening Ceremony of Zhangzidao Fishery Group America Corporation is held in meeting hall No. 210 of Boston Exhibition Centre at 12:00 on Feb 24, 2008. Some customers, representatives from aquaculture of the USA and media attended the ceremony. Chairman Wu Hougang and General Manager Wang Yong attended the ceremony. Chairman Wu addressed the ceremony. The participants watched a video on scallop from Zhangzidao Fishery and had a luncheon together. Zhangzidao scallop supplied in the luncheon was praised by all the guests.

Good afternoon!
It’s a great holiday for the world’s seafood industry today, when the annual International Seafood Show starts here. Seafood companies all around the world assembled here to meet friends through business. It’s also the happy time of Zhangzidao Fishery for the opening of Zhangzidao Fishery Group America Company. On behalf of the 4000 employees of Zhangzidao Fishery faraway from America and also in my personal capacity, I would like to voice our heartfelt gratitude to you for your support, and welcome to the Opening Ceremony of Zhangzidao Fishery America Corporation.
Zhangzidao Fishery was established in 1958. After 50 years of development, we have become a comprehensive seafood company with main industries such as hatching, culturing, processing and trade of precious seafood. Nowadays, the company is the largest company in China of bottom-cultured precious seafood, with 60,000 hectares of nation-class clean sea water 56 nautical miles away from continent. A large-scale culturing base has been formed with annual output of 20,000 metric ton. The predicted sales amount for 2008 is about 150 million USD, in which 60 million USD is from exporting. “Zhangzidao” was certified as the first “China Well-known Trademark” in aquaculture in China in January 2006. In September 2006, the company went public in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and market value is up to 1.8 billion USD at present. In October 2007, as the only member of fishery, Zhangzidao was approved as member of Community of Global Growth Companies. In Jan 2008, the company became the “2007 CCTV Best Employer”
As a seafood company, Zhangzidao Fishery regards “responsibility” as the value and regards “Seafood safety guarantee” as the chief factor to direct activities. The company starts with ecological environment protection, standardized production development and supervision through whole process to ensure the safety from origin to dinner table. The company has been actively promoting the ISO9000 and HACCP system and set up many high standard biological laboratories with world-class advanced testing equipments and excellent capacity that can meet the FDA and EU test requirements. In May 2007, Zhangzidao was audited by FDA as representative of fishery companies in the People’s Republic of China. During the audit, officials of FDA sang high praise for the clean sea environment, normative process of harvesting, transporting, processing and quality inspecting.
Though it is the first day for Zhangzidao Fishery to present itself as a subsidiary, we contacted friends from the USA long ago. In 1972, when China established diplomatic relation with the USA, Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai treated President Nixon with abalone from Zhangzidao Fishery during his first visit to China. For many years, we have been supplying healthy seafood such as sea scallop and bay scallop to the American market by cooperation with American companies. To provide more convenience to customers of the USA, improve quality of service to clients and have more American consumers share the excellent resources of Zhangzidao Fishery, we move the window of service forward to the USA today and establish Zhangzidao Fishery Group America Corporation. The establishment of the America Corporation will make us perceive the market demand more efficiently, listen to the voice from clients more clearly and provide high-quality service more promptly and thoughtfully, constructing “Zhangzidao”, the China Well-known Trademark into a World Reputable Brand.
The establishment of the America Corporation is an essential move for Zhangzidao Fishery to utilize the advantage of capital and optimize the resource allocation. With the Zhangzidao Fishery Group as a solid supporter, the American Corporation will provide more convenience on shipment, storage and so on to achieve a win-win situation through broader and deeper cooperation with customers. Zhangzidao America Corporation has rented a local cold storage and planned to keep some goods in stock for customers to inspect and take delivery whenever they like. The first lot of sea scallop and bay scallop has been sent into storage. More processors, distributors and other friends are welcome there to visit and negotiate for cooperation. In the coming buffet, we have prepared some foods made of scallop from Zhangzidao Fishery. Please have a taste.
With the platform of American Corporation, Zhangzidao Fishery will keep committing ourselves to establish a relationship of “win-win cooperation, fair transaction and sincere communication” with customers.
